Natures Clinicals is based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a sister clinic, Touch Of Sun, based in San Francisco. Natures Clinicals founding herbalists and naturopaths come from a linage of seven generations of herbal and naturopathic healers. Over time the team has expanded to include specialists in further natural treatment modalities.  At Natures Clinical we are in continual communication with other health practitioners of many different health modalities and specialty fields, so as to bring together the most comprehensive knowledge of how to heal the mind and body, as naturally as possible. 

Natures Clinicals goal is to empower its patients to reach their optimum physical, emotional and spiritual resources by the transformative process of healing. Megan's passion for herbs was installed as a child by her grandmother, herbalist Jennie Douglas. Growing up in New Zealand she spent many years working in the families herbal manufacturing factory Red Seal Laboratories and the family's health food shops. During this time she learnt from her elders the traditional ways of healing.

In her twenties Megan worked in Europe, America and the East from her base, in London as a designer. As her interest in natural remedies and spiritual truths sent her on a personal path of learning and contemplation she left her  business in Europe to take up her healing heritage. She spent many years in the East, predominately in India. During these years she applied herself to the study of meditation, yoga and Vedic studies, traditional healing and to the production of the Mother One range of natural healing products.

Megan returned to live in New Zealand where she undertook many years formal training to become a registered medical herbalist and naturopathic healer, with a Bachelor in Health Science in complementary medicine. She has two children and her experience of mothering and family life has fueled her passion for women's health.

Megan is a 6th generation herbalist who continues on with the family heritage and herbal lore as passed on by her auntie, Suzanne Woods-Coleman, her grandmother Jennie Douglas and her great grandfather William Anderton. She continues to update her knowledge of the latest understandings of natural healing by participation in discussion groups, attendance of seminars and forums and ongoing study. Megan works as a naturopath and herbalist in Auckland and teaches herbal medicine at one of New Zealand's leading Naturopathic colleges.

In 2005 Megan established the Natures Clinicals clinic and manufacturing space in Auckland, New Zealand where she works towards the development of the healing arts alongside Suzanne who is based in San Francisco. She believes innately in the mind, body, spirit connection of ones health and well being and incorporates this knowledge into her healing treatments alongside herbal medicine, nutritional education and mind / body therapies.

Suzanne Wood - Coleman

Master Herbalist, Shiatsu Practioner

Suzanne has been brought up in the tradition of Herbal Medicine, her family have been practising Medical Herbalists and Natural Healers for 5 or more generations. Suzanne has been a practising herbalist for over 20 years and she taught herbal medicine in New Zealand for over 15 years. Suzanne was raised in New Zealand where her grandfather had an herbal manufacturing laboratory as well as a thriving herbal and massage clinic. Her mother followed on in the same tradition as her father, grandmother and great-grandmother. Suzanne has inherited this wealth of Herbal Lore not only from her family but also from her mentor, a Medical Herbalist with a similar healing-family background. With this lifelong association and knowledge Suzanne has raised her own children, in the same tradition, without the use of modern drug-medicine and practises.

Acutely aware of the ills of the modern world and knowing how these destroy life and well being (physically, emotionally and spiritually), Suzanne sought her path to help heal, where the need appears the greatest, in the United States. The temptations of life in this modern world and the destructive forces that people are now sub-jected to, has caused an immense amount of suffering. The cure would seem to lie in a reconnection with the traditions of the past, not to forsake the good advancements of the modern world, but to bring a more open perspective and understanding.

The inherent inner strength, given by a family that has always stood for truth, be it the popular voice or not, made it easy for Suzanne to take up the healing path. Following her early introduction to herbal medicine, she went on to study at the National Institute for Medical Herbalists in Britain. Later serving an apprenticeship with her mentor Desmond Eggleton in New Zealand. She has inherited and been given a library of proven herbal formulas. During her apprenticeship, Suzanne learned the art of formulating for individuals, to see the uniqueness in everyone and to match their need with the appropriate herbs. The interplay of body, mind, emotion and spirit in the healing process is well known to Suzanne and is always foremost in her mind when seeking the healing process for someone.

Suzanne has both taught herbal medicine and run a very successful natural healing clinic in New Zealand for over 15 years. She was instrumental in the establishment and ongoing success of organizations for the promotion of natural healing in New Zealand. Her quest to further advance the cause and truth in medicine, on a global perspective, has brought her to the United States where she established Touch Of Sun Herbs 12 years ago alongside David Kukkola.
